The way Wednesday hesitates before saying "skip the tape." The avoidance of eye contact and the slight change in her voice. Wednesday was being vulnerable with Enid; was finally trying to let down her boundaries around Enid. Wednesday didn't want to lose her again because, in watching Enid leave, Wednesday had finally realised just how much she cared about Enid.

so i was looking at general addams family content and i stumbled on this panel from the original new yorker cartoon and it just tickles me:

like this just DELIGHTS me because it I love to think this is the origins of Principal Weems in the show. It would truly not surprise me if her last name was a nod to this comic and the old original cartoon in general. I just think that’d be a nice little easter egg/homage.
